A Photonis tube earns the 4G label only if it clears mil-spec on every attribute. The DTNVS 4G is the same dual-tube binocular fitted with the tube that passed the higher bar.
From this device's spec sheet
Same DTNVS body. The mil-spec tube.
Same DTNVS dual-tube housing and LWT40 optics as the Echo+. The 4G grade is not different technology: it is the tube that cleared mil-spec on every attribute during testing. Top of the Photonis bin, in a mil-grade body.
Mil-spec Photonis 4G tubes
Autogated white phosphor. A tube is labelled 4G only if it passes mil-spec on every attribute; miss one and it ships as Echo. This is the tube that cleared the bar.
Top-bin gain and sensitivity
Higher gain and sensitivity than the Echo grade, so it pulls more from less light. Per Photonis, the 4G bin runs roughly 15 percent ahead.
Tight halo
A tighter halo around bright sources than the Echo grade, so streetlights and muzzle flash bloom less across the image.
Longest rated tube life
The 4G bin carries the longest rated tube life in the Photonis line, so the device holds its grade over more hours of use.
Echo+ or 4G?
Pick the 4G
You want the maximum this housing can deliver: the mil-spec tube, top-bin gain and sensitivity, the tightest halo and the longest rated life.
Pick the Echo+
You want a true ACTinBlack dual-tube on the high-FOM commercial bin, for less than the 4G. Same housing, same LWT40 optics, the value-grade tube.

Build your kit
Run the DTNVS solo on a helmet mount, fuse a thermal overlay on top, or armor it with a Falconwrap skin.
Build it as a kit and the add-ons come off automatically: -20% on every mount, bridge and adapter, -10% on a second optic. Applied in your cart, no code.
A DTNVS is already binocular - the dovetail on the housing drops it to eye level on a UDAPT helmet mount, no J-arm needed. Add the FTO 640 thermal overlay to fuse heat onto the night-vision image, or wrap the housing in a Falconwrap for signature and impact protection. Pick a path below, or confirm you already own the parts.
STANDALONE
Your STANDALONE build
The DTNVS on the helmet via a UDAPT F25 mount. Passive, lightweight, binocular depth straight out of the box.
THERMAL OVERLAY - COTI
Your THERMAL OVERLAY - COTI build
Clip the FTO 640 thermal overlay onto the DTNVS to fuse heat detection over the night-vision image. Spot warm targets the tubes alone miss.
PROTECTION LAYER
Your PROTECTION LAYER build
Wrap the DTNVS housing in a Falconwrap - a precut adhesive skin that cuts shine and signature and shields the body from knocks and abrasion.
