The 3M Peltor ComTac VIII in the no-comms, hearing-protection-only build, with a thinner ear-cup profile. Level-dependent listening amplifies low-level sound while limiting dangerous noise, and it can be upgraded to comms with a kit later. Green version.

Digital microphones amplify quiet ambient sound for situational awareness while clamping hazardous impulse noise, with five Mission Audio Profile gain settings.
Real protection
NRR 22 dB with foam cushions or 23 dB with gel, tested per ANSI S3.19-1974.
Flexible power
Runs on standard AA or compatible rechargeable cells.
Headband or helmet
A low-profile rubberized headband that converts to helmet mounting, built to MIL-STD-810G.
