Headset mounting
ComTac onto the rail
The 3M Peltor ARC rail helmet adapters mount a ComTac VII or VIII headset directly onto a helmet ARC rail in place of the headband, for a faster, more stable setup. Sold as a left and right pair.
Off the band
Mounts the ComTac VII/VIII to an ARC rail, and the headset rotates open for heat relief.
Left or right mic
The A47 microphone mount supports both left- and right-handed users so the boom mic clears a left-handed shooter's weapon, compatible with Peltor MT71 mics.
Which ARC kit do I need?
Same adapters, different microphone mount
Both kits are the same ARC rail adapters. The only difference is the small black microphone mount at the end of the adapter: 3M changed the boom-mic attachment between headset generations, so each kit comes with the mount that matches its models.
ComTac VII / VIII kit
ARC adapters for ComTac VII / VIII (this kit) (SKU 3M-ARC-adapter): mic mount for ComTac VII, VIII and IX.
ComTac XP / XPI / VI kit
ARC adapters for ComTac XP / XPI / VI (SKU 3M-ARC-adapter-XPI): mic mount for the earlier ComTac XP, XPI and VI.
Have the wrong kit? You can still use it. The microphone mount on your original Peltor headband is the same part. Unclip it from the headband and clip it onto the ARC adapter, and the kit now fits your headset model. No tools needed, it takes a minute.
