The QDF flips your thermal or NV out of the line of sight without removing the device. Stack it with a Falconclaw QDA for a 1.63 in / 41 mm optical centerline. 66 g, made in Estonia.
The QDF is just the flip mount. To attach a thermal or NV device, you’ll also need a Falconclaw QDA for that device — sold separately.
The QDF
Optical Centerline
The optical height of your device above the rail depends on whether you run the QDF alone or stack a Unity-spec riser underneath.
41 mm
Measured from the top of the rail. The Falcon 640+ V2 + QDA + QDF stack puts the optic at exactly this height. Suits most builds running a low-mounted day optic alongside the thermal.
57.4 mm
Add the FAST Optic Riser under the QDF and the optical centerline rises to the Unity standard. Use this if you want to co-witness with a 2.26 in / 57.4 mm height day optic.
Compatible Thermals
The QDF accepts any thermal that has a Falconclaw QDA adapter. Pick yours below.
Same QDA also fits the PFN640+, PFN384+, and RH25 V2. Falconclaw’s flagship thermal family.

Model-specific QDA for the Skeet IR thermal. Bolts to the device, snaps into the QDF.

Requires a minirail interface running through the middle of the device. Off-centre rails will still fit the QDF mechanically, but the thermal won’t line up with your day optic.

Frequently Asked Questions
Just the QDF mount itself. To attach a device you also need a Falconclaw QDA for that device, sold separately. One QDA per device — the QDA bolts to the device and gives it the dovetail interface that snaps into the QDF.
Yes, you can — but most night vision tubes aren’t rated for recoil higher than 5.56. On larger calibres, the recoil shock can cause permanent blems on the image intensifier tube. Falconclaw does not recommend mounting an NVG on a firearm. If you understand the risk and still want to do it, we’ll sell you the QDA — but the tube damage isn’t covered under warranty.
QDA + QDF + device gives you exactly 1.63 in / 41 mm measured from the top of the rail. To raise it to the 2.26 in / 57.4 mm Unity standard, install a Unity accessory riser under the QDF.
The QDF itself is a rifle-side flip-to-side mount. For a helmet build, pair it with the QDB (Quick-Detach Bridge) — the QDB carries the device on the helmet and the QDF lets you stow it to the side when not in use.
Designed and manufactured in Estonia. Aluminium 7000 + stainless steel, finished with MIL-A-8625 type III hard anodising.
