PTT FAQ
I can hear but can't transmit. What's wrong?
Most likely a wiring mismatch. Active hearing protection comes in two internal wiring standards, NATO and Peltor. They look identical on the outside, but if your PTT is built for one and your hearing protection is the other, you'll hear audio but your mic won't transmit. The Falconclaw PTT works with both.
My hearing protection doesn't have a boom mic. Can I still use this?
Yes. The PTT has a built-in microphone. You need one of our AUX Comms Adapters (€35 ex. VAT) to connect:
3.5mm adapter, for Sordin Supreme Pro, Howard Leight Impact Sport, and anything with a standard headphone jack.
Peltor 2-pin adapter, for 3M Peltor SportTac, ProTac, and anything with the small Peltor 2-pin socket.
Not sure which? Round socket = 3.5mm. Small 2-pin = Peltor. Or send us a photo.
Do I need a battery?
Only for Bluetooth. Standard radio comms work without any battery. Pop in a CR123 when you want phone calls, Zello, or music. Leave it out when you don't.
People say I'm too quiet on the radio.
Plug in the amplification adapter (included in the box) between your hearing protection and the PTT. Some hearing protection has dynamic mics that produce a weaker signal, the adapter boosts it.
Does this work with Comtacs?
Yes. All Comtac variants, NATO or Peltor wired.
TRI / TCA / FCS replica, which cable?
6-Pin NATO cable.
Can I swap cables in the field?
Yes. No tools needed. Carry a second cable and switch on the spot.
Radio on the back of my plate carrier, cable long enough?
Standard cables are 50cm (front/belt radios). Add the extension cable (€30 ex. VAT) for 100cm total. Works with all cable types.
My radio isn't in the list.
We support 1200+ models. The page shows the most common ones. Contact us and we'll confirm.
Sordins with a comms downlead, do I need an adapter?
Older Sordin models: If your Sordins have a standard Nexus connector, they plug straight into the PTT. No adapter needed.
Sordin T2 models: The T2 introduced a new connector shroud that physically blocks direct connection to the PTT. For T2 models, use the 3.5mm AUX Comms Adapter instead, it bypasses the shroud and works with the PTT's built-in mic.
If your connector looks like the Sordin T2 shroud, use the AUX adapter.
I need a custom cable for a radio that's not listed.
We can create a custom downlead for your radio. Contact us with your radio model and connector details. Minimum order quantity is 50 units.
Is this dual-comm?
Single-comm with Bluetooth as a secondary channel. One radio connection plus Bluetooth to your phone.

What are your shipping times?
For in-stock items, handling time is 0-1 business days. Within the EU, delivery typically takes 3-7 business days. Outside the EU, expect 7-14 business days depending on customs. Back-order or special-order items usually ship within 5-30 days. Night vision devices and thermal optics are often made to order and sourced individually per customer. If your order contains both in-stock and made-to-order items, we may ship what's ready first so you don't have to wait.

Do you ship worldwide?
We ship to most of Europe, North America, parts of Asia, and select other destinations. Some countries have restrictions on night vision, thermal, and laser products, which may require an export license or may not be available at all. A few destinations are not available for shipping. For African countries, we work through our partner Mellivora Systems. If you're unsure about your country, contact us or check at checkout.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on your destination and package size. All NVD orders include shipping insurance (1% of purchase value, already included in the price).
Can I track my order?
Yes. You receive a tracking code by email as soon as your parcel is handed to Posti or FedEx. If you haven't received a tracking email, contact us with your order number and we'll look into it.
RETURNS & WARRANTY

What is your return policy?
You can return unused items in original packaging within 14 days of delivery. Items must be in the same condition as they arrived, including all documentation and accessories. Important: opening a night vision device cancels the right to return and voids the warranty. Custom and made-to-order items are not eligible for returns unless there is a quality defect reported within 7 days of receiving the product. To arrange a return, contact us at contact@falconclaw.eu.

Do your products come with a warranty?
All new items come with a 12-month warranty from the shipment date, unless stated otherwise on the product page. ACT NVD products carry a 24-month warranty. For products not manufactured by Falconclaw, the warranty extends only as far as the original manufacturer's warranty allows. Warranty does not cover defects from normal use, misuse, or unauthorized repair/opening of the device.
What if my item arrives damaged?
Report any quality issues within 5 days of receiving the product. Email contact@falconcalw.eu with a detailed description and photos if possible. All NVD orders are covered by shipping insurance, so damage during delivery is covered.

How do I know which mount fits my device?
Compatibility depends on the specific device and mount combination. Check the product page for listed compatibility details. If you're unsure, send us the names or links of both your device and the mount you're considering, and we'll confirm whether they work together.
What is the difference between night vision and thermal?
Night vision amplifies existing ambient light (moonlight, starlight) to create a visible image in darkness. It works best for navigation and general awareness. Thermal imaging detects heat signatures and displays temperature differences, making it effective for detection and target identification at range regardless of lighting. Many users combine both technologies for maximum capability.
Do you sell assembled / ready-to-use setups?
We do, we have full spectrum bundles.
Are your Falconclaw products compatible with other brands?
Yes, Falconclaw products are designed to work with industry-standard interfaces. For example, the FTO Thermal Overlay is compatible with PVS-14, RNVG, DTNVS, 1431, and L3Harris BNVD (PVS-31A, GPNVG). Falconclaw mounts use standard dovetail and Picatinny interfaces. Check individual product pages for specific compatibility lists, or contact us to confirm your setup.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit card payments (processed securely through Stripe) and bank transfers. We also accept Apple pay and Google pay. Orders paid by bank transfer are processed once full payment arrives. For custom or made-to-order items, Falconclaw may require a 30% deposit and has the right to decline credit card payment in favor of bank transfer.
Are prices shown with or without VAT?
All prices on the website include VAT for EU customers. The final VAT rate is calculated at checkout based on your shipping destination. For orders shipped outside the EU, VAT is not applied.
Do you offer B2B or dealer pricing?
Yes we do, you need to fill in the B2B form and you will get access to tiered pricing.
Can I pay by bank transfer?
Yes. Select bank transfer at checkout or contact us at contact@falconclaw.eu for payment details. Note that your order will not be processed until the full payment has been received.
