Here's the honest answer up front. If you're in the EU, the UK, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Canada, Australia or New Zealand, you can buy anything on falconclaw.eu with normal checkout and it ships from Estonia like any other parcel. If you're in the USA, we currently cannot ship night vision, thermal devices or lasers to you at all, though everything else in the store ships fine. Between those two extremes sits a list of countries where restricted gear ships only with an export licence. This post explains the tiers, the customs side, and the questions behind them.
Why so complicated? Night vision, thermal imaging and lasers are export-controlled under EU dual-use regulations. It has nothing to do with how a product looks or what it's marketed for; the sensor technology itself is the controlled item. We follow those rules to the letter, because the alternative is not being allowed to ship anything at all.
One important boundary before the country lists: everything below describes what we are allowed to export from Estonia. Whether you may own or use night vision where you live is a separate question of your local law, and that one you need to check yourself. When in doubt, ask your local authority before ordering, not customs at delivery time.
The four tiers
Standard checkout, no extra process
All 27 EU member states, Iceland, Norway, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Add to cart, pay, done. Israel is also served, with one caveat: civilian approval for night vision and thermal is unlikely there, so if you're not ordering for a government, defence or law-enforcement organisation, email us before ordering.
Export licence required (+250 € process fee)
Argentina, Brazil, the Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Greenland, Indonesia, South Korea and Turkey. Night vision, thermal and lasers can ship, but each shipment needs an export licence. The flat 250 € fee covers the licence application and paperwork. Non-restricted products (mounts, lights, field gear, the PTT) ship normally with no fee. Authority orders only
Mexico and Ukraine. Night vision and thermal go only to government, defence or law-enforcement organisations, minimum 5 units, each shipment licensed with the same 250 € process fee. Everything non-restricted ships normally to private buyers.
Restricted categories cannot ship
The United States, India and Guam. A message from a US customer sums up how this feels from the other side: "pretty much everything i need other than the new ptt is restricted." We know. A US-based store is in the works so American buyers can purchase locally; email us and we'll notify you when it goes live. Meanwhile every non-restricted product still ships to the US normally.
Completely off the table everywhere: Russia, Belarus and other EU-sanctioned countries. Non-negotiable. We also don't currently ship to Taiwan, and Africa is served through our partner Mellivora Systems rather than directly.

Customs and import charges
Inside the EU and EEA: nothing to do. No customs paperwork, no duties, and VAT is already in the checkout price.
Outside the EU and EEA: the carrier generates the customs paperwork automatically, and your country may charge import duty and VAT at delivery. Those charges go from you to the carrier or customs authority; we can't pre-pay them. If your customs broker needs a commercial invoice, HS codes or an end-user certificate, email us before ordering and we'll prepare them.
Straight answers to the recurring questions
Can I import night vision to my EU country legally?
Shipping-wise, yes: within the EU it isn't an import at all, it's a domestic-market shipment from Estonia with VAT already handled. Ownership and use rules are national law and vary country by country, especially for anything weapon-mounted, so check your own country's rules before you build your setup around a plan.
How fast does it actually arrive?
In-stock orders are dispatched within 24 hours. Within the EU, express services take 2-3 business days and economy 5-6. Every parcel is tracked, insured, and delivered against signature.
Will you mark my parcel as a gift or lower the declared value?
No. Beyond being illegal, an undervalued parcel is uninsured at its real value, and this category of goods gets inspected. Not worth it for anyone.
What about warranty if I'm outside the EU?
The standard 12-month warranty applies wherever we ship. One US-specific wrinkle: night vision, thermal and laser items cannot receive warranty service in the USA, because once they enter the US they fall under ITAR and can't be sent back and forth for repair.
Can someone in the EU buy it and forward it to me in a restricted country?
Please don't. Export controls follow the goods, not the first invoice, and re-exporting restricted items without a licence is a crime in most jurisdictions, yours included. If your country is on the licence list, the 250 € process is the legitimate route, and we make it as painless as we can.
The short version
EU and friends: buy normally. Licence-list countries: one email, one fee, some patience. USA, India, Guam: restricted categories are off, everything else ships.
