Over the past three decades technology has advanced and superior designs have emerged, most notably dovetail interfaces and modern mounts like the Argus A4LWNM. These newer systems offer greater adjustability and allow the NVG to stow much closer to the helmet, which reduces neck strain and removes snag hazards.
